PARKEN in Wiesbaden cancelled due to Corona

25 Feb 2021

Due to the continuing volatile infection situation and uncertain forecasts, the Bundesverband Parken e. V. (German Parking Association) as the conceptual sponsor, together with trade fair organizer Mesago, have decided to cancel the event, which was scheduled for 23 – 24 June 2021 in Wiesbaden, Germany.

In recent months, it has become increasingly clear in discussions with exhibitors and industry experts that the PARKEN community's focus is on face-to-face events. For this reason, there will be no digital alternative to the exhibition.

"We very much regret having to cancel the face-to-face event in June," explains Martin Roschkowski, President at Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. "However, the current situation as well as the resulting lack of planning security will not allow us to realize the PARKEN this summer."

"This decision was an inevitable step for all parties involved in the planning stages, and was taken after numerous intensive and conscientious reviews and considerations of the overall situation," adds Elisabeth Herles, Managing Director of the Bundesverband Parken e.V.
"According to the current state of knowledge, the risk of having to cancel the Parken 2021 at short notice after extensive preparations and investments outweighs the hope that the exhibition will be held safely, smoothly and successfully. Planning safety had to be created for all those involved, also to cushion financial risks."

Nevertheless, there will be a possibility for exchange within the industry this year, without a trade exhibition but with a conference at the Competence Forum Parken, which is organized by the Bundesverband Parken e. V. and scheduled for 28 October 2021 in Würzburg.

PARKEN, as a platform for future-oriented solutions in stationary traffic, will again take place in its usual form in Wiesbaden, Germany, from 28-29 June 2023. Up-to-date information is available at www.parken-exhibition.com.
